- 当打电话给某人（比如：Lisa）时:
Is Lisa there? (最常用)
Is Lisa around? (次常用)
Hello, May I speak to Lisa please?
Hello, Can I talk to Lisa please?
- 如果接到电话，并且找的正是你本人:
This is he. (男的)
This is she.(女的)
This is Peter ( 你的名字) speaking.
You are speaking to him. (her)
You are talking to him.
- 如果接电话的是你，但是电话要找的是别人:
Hold on. (最常见)
I'll get him (her), Hold on please.
Hold on, let me see if he/she is here.
One moment please.
- 如果电话要找的人正好不在:
No, he/she is out. (最常见)
No, he/she is not here. May I take a message?
No, he/she is not in.
No, he/she is not available.
No, he/she just went out, and he/she will be back in 30 minutes.
- 如果你打电话，要找的人刚好不在:
Do you know when he/she will be back?
Do you know where he/she is going?
Do you know where I can reach him/her?
Do you know his/her office number? (or work place number)
- 如果打电话的人所问的问题，你不知道，则回答:
No, I am sorry, I don't know! （记得说一句Sorry哦，否则显得很生硬）

- 如果你需要留言:
May I leave a message?
- 如果打电话的人要留言，你可以回答:
Sure, go ahead.
Hold on, let me get a pencil and paper.
- 接到打错的电话，可以说:
I am afraid you have the wrong number.
What number did you dial?
What number are you calling?
- 结束对话时，可以说:
Thank you, have a good day.
Bye bye. Have a nice day.
- 电话听不清楚时:
